• Vocational Institute
  NDN has mobilised the local community for the construction of vocational Institute in Nyakyera Sub County in the district and the following materials have been provided.
  • Architeratural designs
  • Iron Sheets
  • 5,000 bricks
• NDN has given the following to Butare Health centre
  • 68 Iron Sheets for constructing a Maternity Ward
  • A mobile phone
  • Contribution to the installation of solar energy
  • Lobbied and got medical equipment
  • We monitor reproductive health services where contraceptives are distributed e.g. male and female condoms plus reading materials
• Youth conventions 2001
  NDNs convened a youth convention on December 29th 2001 in Kijuro hills at grid reference 36 15'E 047'5(6137ft)in Butare Parish,Ntungamo Sub county and the main objectives were:
  • Creation of awareness about reproductive health issues and STDS, moreso the AIDS pandemic
  • Sensitisation of the Youth about the need for environmental and nature conservation

• A television documentary
  A documentary about Ntungamo district and the activities of the NDN has been compiled to the televised on the date to be fixed oon
• Needs assessment of Lake Nyabihoko fishermen
  A needs assessment of Lake Nyabihoko fishermen has been done and a project about proposal poverty alleviation has already been written ready for implementation
• A workshop on wetland management policy in the district

• A gravity water flow project in Butare Parish is monitored by NDN .
  It's aimed at providing clean water and fighting water borne diseases. The project was completed and commissioned on 21 st November 2003.

• Urban and public places Tree planting Project in Ntungamo District
  This project will be run by Ntungamo district and Ntungamo Development Network Uganda The Project is aimed at providing a Health Environment, shade and beauty among others All preliminary planning, drawings and land scaping in progress Tree planting is due in 2005
• NDN is running a reproductive Health / HIV /AIDS program with Ntungamo Town Council
• NDN sponsored five people including two districts council members to women's world congress 2002 at Makerere University in July 2002 .
